Steamworks Multimedia – Emmy Nominated for Director
Steamworks, a non-profit startup needed short videos for social as well as a longer capabilities version. We filmed interviews with the founder and the students on location and a myriad of launches of small rockets through LDRS [Large Dangerous Rocket Ships] at Lucerne Dry Lake. The videos were built in four chapters each of which utilized their own grid structures and color palette combined with motion graphics to move a smorgasbord of live action, still as well as compelling historical content. These were stand alones which could also be combined into a more comprehensive presentation.

If you go to a rocketry launch the first thing you are acutely aware of is that everything is moving. We wanted to maintain the movement and excitement of being at a launch throughout. We built cut-downs from the longer videos for social and added motion graphics.
